SHE WAS FORCED TO MARRY THE “PIG BILLIONAIRE” TO PAY OFF HER FAMILY’S DEBTS — BUT ON THE NIGHT OF…

So he created an experiment.

It started privately.

Then became increasingly elaborate.

He gained weight for a role at first, but eventually chose prosthetics instead. He stopped appearing at glamorous events. He allowed rumors about his health to spread.

People who had once begged for invitations to his parties stopped calling.

Women who had flirted with him suddenly avoided eye contact.

Businessmen laughed behind his back.

Sebastian learned something uncomfortable:

Money could make people tolerate almost anything.

But appearance determined whether they respected the person holding it.

Then Clara entered his life.

There Was One Part of the Marriage Clara Didn’t Know

Her father’s debt was real.

But Sebastian had never asked for Clara as payment.

That had been her father’s idea.

When Clara’s father offered his daughter, Sebastian had been disgusted.

He should have refused immediately.

Instead, his damaged view of people led him to make a terrible decision.

He accepted—not because he wanted to own Clara, but because he wanted to test whether someone forced into his world could still treat him like a human being.

It was manipulative.

Sebastian knew that.

And as the months passed, he became increasingly ashamed of it.

Because Clara wasn’t performing kindness.

Nobody was watching when she covered him with a blanket after he fell asleep.

Nobody saw her replace the flowers beside his mother’s photograph every Sunday.

Nobody knew that when servants laughed about his eating habits in the kitchen, Clara told them quietly:

“You don’t have to admire someone to respect them.”

And one afternoon, Sebastian overheard something that changed him completely.

Clara’s father had come asking for money again.

“Ask Your Husband. He’s Rich.”

Her father stood in the foyer.

“I need ten million.”

Clara stared at him.

“No.”

“Sebastian won’t even notice.”

“No.”

Her father lowered his voice.

“After what you sacrificed for me, you owe yourself something.”

Clara’s face hardened.

“I sacrificed because you gambled away everything.”

Her father stepped closer.

“You married him because of me.”

“Yes.”

“Then use him.”

Clara opened the front door.

“Leave.”

Her father froze.

“Clara—”

“You traded my future to solve a problem you created. I forgave you because you’re my father. But if you think I’m going to steal from my husband so you can gamble again, you don’t know me at all.”

Sebastian heard every word from the hallway.

That evening, he went into his private bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror.

For the first time, he hated the disguise.

Not because it made him unattractive.

Because Clara deserved the truth.

But fear stopped him.

What if revealing everything destroyed the only genuine relationship he’d ever had?

So he waited.

And that was his second mistake.

Their First Anniversary Arrived

Clara remembered the date.

Sebastian pretended he hadn’t.

When he entered the dining room that evening, there was no enormous party.

No celebrities.

No champagne tower.

Just two plates of food and a small homemade cake.

The frosting leaned slightly to one side.

Sebastian looked at it.

“You made this?”

Clara laughed.

“Unfortunately.”

He tasted it.

It was terrible.

He ate another bite.

Clara smiled.
