Christmas Confetti Bars So Easy I Make Hundreds Every Holiday
These festive Christmas Confetti Bars are the kind of treat that disappears almost as quickly as you can cut them. Creamy, sweet, colorful, and wonderfully simple, they make a beautiful addition to Christmas cookie trays, parties, and homemade gift boxes.
The best part? No complicated baking and no fancy decorating.
Ingredients
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup red and green candied cherries or gumdrops, finely chopped
How to Make Them
Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some hanging over the sides so the finished candy can easily be lifted out.
Place the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla and a small pinch of salt.
Allow the mixture to cool for a couple of minutes before gently folding in most of the chopped red and green candies. Don’t wait too long—the mixture will begin setting as it cools.
Spread everything evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining colorful pieces over the top and gently press them into the surface.
Refrigerate for about 2–3 hours, or until completely firm.
Lift the slab from the pan using the parchment paper and place it on a cutting board.
For the classic look shown here, cut it into long narrow bars. You can also make small squares if you’re preparing a large Christmas dessert platter.
The Trick to Pretty, Clean Bars
Let the candy become completely firm before slicing. Use a large sharp knife and wipe the blade between cuts.
If you’re making these for Christmas gifts, smaller pieces are often better because the bars are quite rich.
